We are going bigger and larger for the Third Edition of Danza Catartica.
Very ecstatic to announce The Tunnels becoming the new home for the events
For this special first one, I could not think of any better people than my two very good friends Acid Boner and Egang. As three very avid record collectors, this night will be delivered on vinyl only. We will go through our very diverse selection of dub, techno, acid, breaks, jungle and leading eventually towards more experimental sounds.
Cornetta will open and close the night, letting Acid Boner and Egang conducting its peak times.
As we would like for our party people to enjoy the journey from the very start, entry prices will be made affordable and Tickets are just £5 before midnight, £10 afterwards.
Looking forward to see you in many for this special one and hopefully this will be a landmark that will lead to many more.
Cornetta
The Italian selector based in Aberdeen since over a decade, has made her way through the local underground scene by proposing her very own parties. Gaining more visibility in the Scottish underground landscape, she has recently founded the Danza Catartica project and movement with the hope to revive and reconnect the scene through its subcultural roots and primordial need for communties to gather and dance. Having now under her belt a few local parties that she has launched at the D2 basement over the past year, she has now made the first step to take over Tunnels for a very special event.
She will start the night with some rhythmic ambient, dub and minimalistic sounds to warm up the night.
Returning to close the night, she will dive towards the end into heavy bass driven tracks and experimental techno in her very own style. As per usual, rigorously all on vinyl.
Expect some older and newer discovers from her beloved record labels, Timedance, ANSIA, TraTraTrax, re:lax, VOAM, Paryìa, XL Records and Tresor.
Acid Boner
A name that needs little introduction to Scotland's underground party scene, celebrated for his long running club night of the same name, Acid Boner is renowned for his extensive all-vinyl mixes in addition to his live hardware performances of squelching acid, earning him invitation to DJ a multitude of events across Scotland and overseas, including the famous I Love Acid - a worldwide club night and vinyl-only label founded by Posthuman and Luke Vibert, where he held his own alongside DJ heavyweights Posthuman, Michelle Manetti, and Space Dimension Controller.
Finding disillusionment in the local club scene, Acid Boner turned to hosting and playing a number of illegal parties in off-grid warehouses, where the true spirit of underground music could thrive, free from commercial restraints. This cemented his reputation as a dedicated architect of the acid underground.
Now, he returns to the literal underground of the Granite City to deliver an all-vinyl dunt of Chicago House, early 90s Hardcore, Techno, and ACID.
Egang
Whether youve never heard jungle music before or are a long time fan of the genre egang is sure to take you on a journey that reflects the wide range of styles it has to offer.
Making his debut to aberdonians alongside acid boner and Cornetta. He is bringing his share of: Amens, heavy basslines and euphoric pads. Guaranteed to take you deep in to the atmosphere of danzacatartica
