Featuring the World Premiere of Finnish composer Asta Hyvärinen’s She, Miracle, a performative work for female voice and electronics commissioned as part of the Northern Connection partnership. Alistair MacDonald’s Ecstatic Visions, also for voice and electronics, forges the sounds of Glasgow Cathedral’s great bell with Hildegard von Bingen’s letters, writings on gemstones, visions, and antiphons, in kaleidoscopic, multi-channel illusions.
