Join us for a vibrant evening of live music featuring Darachthe exciting duo of Scottish fiddler Roo Geddes and Galician guitaristHugo Franco. Blending deep-rooted traditions with contemporary energy, Darach bring expressive melodies, rich harmonies, and inventive arrangements to the stage, showcasing their unique cross-cultural sound.
Opening the night will be performances from talented young musicians fromSC&T Youth. Come along and support the next generation of traditional musicians before enjoying an unforgettable set from one of the scenes most compelling new collaborations.

Darach
Scottish fiddler Roo Geddes and Galician guitaristHugo Franco are a dynamic duo blending rich musical heritage with contemporary innovation. Roo, raised in a deeply musical family in Glasgow, brings a unique fusion of classical, jazz, and traditional influences to his playing. A BBC Young Traditional Musician finalist, he tours internationally with acclaimed groups such as Roo & Neil, Dallahan, and The Black Denims, and has just released his debut solo album Close. Hugo, based in Barcelona, draws from Galician folk roots, classical training, and modern genres including Trap, creating a distinct and genre-crossing sound. A graduate of E-Trad in Vigo, he collaborates widely, including with Marc Xarau on the 2024 release Massa pel Cos.
Together as Darach, Roo and Hugo blend fiddle and guitar with a compelling sense of storytelling and groove. Winners of a Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections 2025, they are currently finishing their debut albuma vibrant meeting point of tradition and innovation.
