Come hear a selection of traditional and modern Gaelic songs performed by Cisir Ghidhlig Obar Dheathain (Aberdeen Gaelic Choir) before they are off to the Royal National Md in Lochaber!
The Aberdeen Gaelic Choir (Cisir Ghidhlig Obar Dheathain) was founded in 1952, and attracts singers throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. From its beginning, the choir has been a part of our local Gaelic heritage, from the concert hall stage to competitive success at local and national mds. The choir sings a range of traditional and modern Gaelic songs in four-part harmony, and currently competes in the Lovat and Tullibardine competition at the Royal National Md under the direction of Finlay Morse. Among our members, we have a range of Gaelic speakers, learners of all levels, and those new to the language. The choir welcomes anyone with an interest in the Gaelic language, culture, and music no prior experience required!
