Located in the A Listed original and unique agricultural auction market building, Alford Heritage Museum was established in 1992. It houses an amazing collection of objects which relate to rural life throughout the ages. There are recreations of old shops such as the tailor and the shoemaker. Old and young can enjoy the experience of the old schoolroom. You can see where the auctions took place and where the animals were stored before before being sold. Tractor and farming implement enthusiasts will be astonished at the amount of items on display. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this local gem of a museum. Quizzes for children. Group visits welcome.
