Changing Perspectives - Writing For Wellbeing: A Third Stage Event
Short Form - Haiku/Flash Fiction
Using sensory engagement and playful experimentation this workshop explores how we might capture the essence of longer poems or narrative pieces in a much shorter form. Tune into listening to the written word being spoken aloud and experiment with responses through the use of Haiku, a Japanese short form of poetry or flash fiction where the number of words is restricted. Participants are then invited to consider how or if this provides an alternative perspective to the original piece, and does it take us deeper into the original subject matter, or into new territory.
The workshop includes space for reflection on the process and sharing your creative work.
There is a sliding scale ticket price for this event of £3 - £8. Please choose what you feel applies to you.
