Turriff Show is the largest two-day agricultural Show in Scotland. The 2020 show marks the 156th year of Turriff Show.
On Sunday, one of the highlights is the Grand Parade of Horses, Ponies and Donkeys and on Monday you can witness one of the best displays of livestock in Scotland - the Grand Parade of Cattle and Clydesdale Horses. This year will see Turriff host the Scottish Limousin Grand Prix which takes place on the Monday.
There are over 300 outdoor trade stands promoting all aspects of agriculture including arable, livestock, farm management and farm machinery and indoor trade stands offering a variety of items in the Exhibition Marquee, Indoor Shopping Mall and Art and Craft Marquee. There is an Industrial Marquee for exhibitors to gain a prize for their home-based products from Jams and Chutneys to Knitting and Sewing and in the Horticulture Marquee for displaying their various varieties of flowers and vegetables.
The EQ Food and Drink Pavilion will return to showcase the finest produce that the North East of Scotland has to offer, complete with café area, tasting sessions and cookery demonstrations.
For the children, the Ferguson Hall provides a baby feeding and changing area with seating available for the grown-ups to take a well-earned rest while the children are kept busy with a host of different activities.
An Open Dog Show, Vintage Vehicle display and Open Themed Pageant take place on the Sunday as well as livestock sections for goats, rabbits, cavies and pigeons. Monday is the turn of the cattle, sheep and poultry sections along with the Companion Dog Show and Highland Dancing Competition. Open Show Jumping competitions and a Mini-Major Relay are held on the Monday.
Invitation sulky trotting and the ever-popular children's and adults races take place on both days of the show.
Live music and entertainment including Turriff and District Pipe Band will be performing across both show days. The Turriff Show bandstand will be the mainstage for local talent to perform a mix of traditional, modern and original music.
While enjoying the live entertainment, rest and refuel by visiting the selection of outdoor food vendors specially selected to offer ingredients sourced from the North East of Scotland.
Indoor catering is also provided within the catering marquee, offering a sit-down meal option.
The main ringside entertainment for the 2020 Turriff Show will be provided by The Vander Super-Hero's Wheel of Death, an adrenaline filled, death defying stunt-show.
