Learn to write historical mysteries with Katherine Woodfine, author of the bestselling series The Sinclairs Mysteries which follows detectives Miss Sophie Taylor and Miss Lilian Rose through Edwardian London. This creative writing workshop takes inspiration from historical photographs to generate ideas for new mystery stories! It is suitable for children aged 8-14 with adults welcome to accompany (please book additional ticket).
Katherine Woodfineis the author of more than 15 books for children, including The Sinclairs Mysteries and Taylor & Rose Secret Agents series. Her first published novel, The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow , was a Sunday Times bestseller and was nominated for numerous awards. A champion of childrens literature, she has previously worked on projects including the Childrens Laureate, YALC (the UKs first young adult literature convention) and childrens books podcast Down the Rabbit Hole. She now combines writing with reviewing childrens books. She lives in Lancashire, UK in an old house near a castle, with her family and two black cats.
