Queer Folks' Tales (Aberdeen Queer Arts Festival)
Scotland’s award-winning, multiple 5 star rated, hit LGBTQ+ storytelling show returns to Aberdeen to join the queer festivities!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Utterly fabulous” (The Q Review) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Edinburgh’s most vibrant, authentic and exciting storytelling event” (The Wee Review)
Fruity, hilarious and moving LGBTQ+ storytelling show featuring stand-ups, writers, poets, singers and more. Following huge enthusiasm from Aberdeen audiences for our first four shows at Lemon Tree in 2024 and 2025, and three years of sell out shows in Edinburgh, our very queer, funny and moving LGBTQ+ storytelling show is on tour around Scotland again. There’s a different stellar line up for every show. Queer storytellers and performers deliver hilarious, touching, occasionally shocking stories galore about queer lives, with many true stories of LGBTQ+ experiences in Scotland today.
Hosted by Edinburgh’s Turan Ali (stand-up and producer of BBC drama/comedy), who will be joined on Saturday 8th November by local queer Aberdeen talent, featuring storytellers, fruity performers, stand-ups and a singer-songwriter. Prepare for laughter, tears, heartfelt confessions, celebrations of queerness, and to be touched ….. in a good way!
