Celebrate ten years of Katherine Woodfines The Sinclairs Mysteries series a runaway hit with readers aged 9-12 and beyond. Since 2015s The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow , the series has explored Edwardian London with detectives Sophie Taylor and Lilian Rose as they crack codes, solve thefts, and bring villains to justice! The author will discuss the importance of strong female characters in childrens fiction and much more alongside a reading, Q&A and book signing.
Katherine Woodfine is the author of more than 15 books for children, including the Sinclairs Mysteries and Taylor & Rose Secret Agents series. Her first published novel, The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow, was a Sunday Times bestseller and was nominated for numerous awards. In celebration of the ten-year anniversary of The Clockwork Sparrow, a gorgeous anniversary edition has been released. A champion of childrens literature, she has previously worked on projects including the Childrens Laureate, YALC (the UKs first young adult literature convention) and childrens books podcast Down the Rabbit Hole. She now combines writing with reviewing childrens books. She lives in Lancashire, UK in an old house near a castle, with her family and two black cats.
