Inverurie Churchyard Pictish Stones

At Inveruerie Churchyard are four Class I Pictish stones, said to have been found built into the walls of the old parish church, which formerly stood in what is now the cemetery.

The stones comprise: a pink granite stone, reshaped, bearing a disc & rectangle symbol and an arch; a pink granite slab decorated with a crescent & V-rod, disc & rectangle, serpent & Z-rod and double disc & Z-rod symbols; a pink granite stone, reshaped, incised with a double disc & Z-rod; and a pale pink granite stone incised with a horse in motion.
