Aberdeen City Council has been creating new woodlands and managing existing woods to benefit both biodiversity and people. In the last 10 years the council has created nearly 100 hectares of new woodland across the city, with plans for more in the future. This in partnership with the Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrel project, has helped the recolonization of red squirrels throughout the city from the surrounding area. Ian Talbpoys, Countryside Officer will give a talk about his work. Contact Rodney Payne
