Shopping & Souvenirs
With five shopping centres and the ‘Granite Mile’ shopping street coupled with boutiques and independent retailers, treat a loved one (or yourself!) and take home a little piece of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to fondly remember your visit.
Well-known for its shopping offer, the city’s Union Square (conveniently attached to Aberdeen Railway Station) has over 50 top high-street stores (including MAC, BOSS, Apple and ZARA) and 30 restaurants, as well as its very own 10-screen cinema. Nearby, the connecting Trinity Shopping Centre is home to a large Primark and Debenhams, amongst many other shops.
Just a short walk away, the Bon Accord Centre has over 65 fashion, beauty and homeware stores. If you head along the ‘Granite Mile’ (Union Street) you will find even more shopping stores and Aberdeen’s well established West End boutique shopping area. These charming streets are lined with designer outlets – Signature and Esslemonts, quaint cafes including the popular vegan Foodstory, Aberdeen Whisky Shop and even an art gallery.
Venture beyond the high-street to nearby Rosemount to find a street full of independent retailers – perfect for discovering special treasures. In our charming towns and villages in Aberdeenshire you will find an abundance of locally owned shops selling quality souvenirs and gifts including the Butterworth Gallery and the famous Spotty Bag Shop.
Whether it’s for food and drink gifts (whisky, craft beer, gin or chocolate), special pieces of artwork (for example, paintings and ornaments) or even Scottish clothing – you might want to leave space in your suitcase!
