850th Anniversary of Monymusk Church, Flower Festival and Open Weekend

This is an opportunity to visit the ancient early scottish church of St Mary's Monymusk, once part of Monymusk Priory and home of the Monymusk reliquary or 'Brecbennoch' (now in the Museum of Scotland) in the historic Aberdeenshire village of Monymusk. The church will be decorated with flowers by community groups to celebrate the 850th anniversary of the building. Various historical church items will be on display as well as the opportunity to tour parts of the church building which are not normally accessible. Activities will be available for children. Tea, coffee and cake will be available for visitors in the adjacent village Hall.

Monymusk Parish Church and Community are celebrating 850 years with a Flower Festival decorating this ancient Scottish Church and hosting a weekend of activities. Historic Church items will be on display; there will be tours of the tower, bell and it's restored antique clock; displays of memorabilia; toys and activities for children as well as teas, coffee and cakes available in the village Hall.
