Within a few steps you can be on Newburgh beach where you can watch the grey seals, oyster catchers and arctic terns. In the winter months the northern lights (aurora borealis) can sometimes also be seen. There is a choice of two restaurants in Newburgh to dine out at and a local bar. Take a walk up to the top of the village and you can visit the ruins of Knockhall Castle or you could follow the trail detailing the life of local artist, James McBey. Newburgh Golf Club is a few minutes walk away and the nearest town of Ellon is only 5 miles away. Here you can find bars, restaurants, local shops, a swimming pool and sports facilities.
