Lovingly transformed by Leys Estate, the courtyard has not only retained its historical character but takes full advantage of its position nestled on the edge of the water while perfectly complementing the area’s unrivalled natural beauty.
With free parking onsite, direct access to the Deeside Way and home to the Royal Deeside Railway, Milton of Crathes is the ideal day out for all the family. We also have our own fully enclosed adventure playground for the younger members of the family.
A converted steading in the heart of Milton of Crathes’ Courtyard is home to Milton Art Gallery. The gallery showcases a varied and changing collection of work by talented Scottish artists and makers including original paintings and prints, handcrafted ceramics, jewellery, glassware, textiles and gifts.

The Milton of Crathes Farmers Market is held within the Courtyard on the second Sunday of each month between 10am and 4pm.
The adjacent Milton Events Field is also home to a diverse range of events throughout the year – from vintage car rally’s, circus, horse shows and charity events. .
Milton Brasserie is set within the Milton of Crathes Courtyard. A family-run restaurant passionate about showcasing the best of Aberdeenshire produce, presenting Scottish dishes with a modern twist.
A warm and welcoming family environment, serving a range of dining options from breakfast and lunch in the Brasserie, tea and scones in the conservatory, alfresco dining, afternoon tea or coffee on the go.
The Brasserie can be hired exclusively for larger parties.
