My weekly events round-up, 18-24 September 2017

It’s another great week for all things festivals and events in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire! Our science festival TechFest is still on with a full programme set to keep us upping our science game! We’ll also be getting our dancing shoes on too with Doricana Fest, Tarland Food and Drink Festival as well as a live ceilidh! And for mid-week laughs we have NMN Comedy.

Doricana Fest

Tarland food and music festival

Can you think of a better combination?! This annual festival is back by popular demand with live concerts, cookery demonstrations, a food market, talks, debates workshops and of courses, plenty of activities to keep the kids busy too!

NMN comedy’s mid-month madness

Looking for some laughs this week? NMN is back with its ever-popular comedy evening taking place in the heart of the city. The best news is that this comedy show is free!

EMMS International Autumn Ceilidh

A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish event with live folk music and dance;  get ready to move and shake as you’ll be doing the Dashing White Sergeant, the Flying Scotsman and the Gay Gordons! This event is being run for a great cause too so get your dancing shoes on and experience our culture first-hand!

Date: Saturday 23 September 2017. Time: 7-11.45pm. Location: Haddo House, Aberdeenshire
