Meet Christina.
Christina is VisitAberdeenshire’s Senior Tourism Development Executive, working with the local tourism industry to stimulate industry and destination development, with a focus on sustainable tourism and travel trade product development.
Christina has more than 14 years’ experience working in the tourism and hospitality industry, beginning her career working for the National Trust for Scotland at Haddo House, and latterly working for Chivas Brothers at The Glenlivet Distillery and Scapa Distillery on Orkney.
Here’s three things you might not know about Christina:
- Some of Christina’s favourite things to see and do in the region include visiting the multitude of castles and stately homes on her doorstep, visiting distilleries to sample locally-produced gins and whiskies and exploring the great outdoors.
- Her favourite part of her job is being able to support businesses and see them develop and grow, whether it’s a new business starting up for the first time, or an established business looking to develop new products.
- Christina once represented Aberdeen at the Scottish Highland Dancing Championships
