Winter Scenes with Lorraine Taylor - A Third Stage Event
In this workshop, we will be creating a winter scene using acrylics. Snow is never just white and differs in the way light is reflected with a variety of hues apparent. Winter days can be dark, bright and sunny, crisp and cold so we can experiment with colour, composition and the ambience you want to create. Participants will commence with a short exercise with charcoal to warm up in preparation for our winter painting.
Visual artist Lorraine Taylor takes her inspiration from nature and especially trees and how they shape the landscape. She likes to create an atmosphere to describe that sense of place which she feels is very important.
Third Stage Art is an art group that has been meeting at the Barn for over 20 years.
