Outdoor clay sculpture workshop with artist Bibo Keeley.

Tree Spirits - Outdoor Clay Session

In this outdoor workshop with artist Bibo Keeley, we will use clay to create expressive works straight on the trees in the Woodland Garden, connecting with nature through our creativity.

It is easy to imagine that the natural world is inhabited by other creatures than the ones we are familiar with. Inspired by this thought, the tactile quality of clay and nature itself, this workshop is intended to be enjoyable, relaxing, and enabling us to tune in with nature.

At the end of the workshop we will have a ‘show and tell’ so we can appreciate everyone’s work.

Clay and basic tools will be provided.

This workshops is recommended for adults. No previous experience necessary. Please wear appropriate clothes.

Bibo Keeley is an Aberdeen based visual artist whose work is inspired by her deep feeling of being connected with nature and informed by her life experiences.

She uses a variety of media in her art, spanning audio-visual work, performance, photography and sculpture.

For example, her recent 2018/19 solo exhibition in Glasgow, The Wind In My Soul, was inspired by re-connecting with nature, healing and focussing on what is important in life. The body of work, which she had created in response to her funded artist residency on Skye, consisted of photographs, sculptural elements and audio-visual work including performances.
