Learn about the ecology of local seabirds and how to best use the light to capture them in photographs.

The Bullars of Buchan are home to thousands of seabirds over the summer months. Join me for a morning shoot and learn about their ecology. If we're lucky, we may even see puffins!

My workshops aim to show you how to read the light as it changes and give you the confidence to seek out your own unique and interesting images. You will be joined by other photography enthusiasts (maximum of 5 participants) and be able to share your vision and tips within the group.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a complete novice or a professional - this workshop is open to all. I will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about photography or the location, and will guide you around its beautiful surroundings.

Rather than teaching you how to use your specific camera or settings, I aim to show you different and unique ways to enjoy photography (which you may never have thought of before). Through doing this, I hope that you will connect with your subject matter more and feel inspired to get out into nature more regularly.

Most importantly, these workshops give you the chance to see a location in a new light, while sharing the experience with a group of like-minded people. Post workshop you will be invited to share your images with me via email, where I will produce a document showcasing what we all learnt and shot throughout the workshop (giving you a memento and allowing everyone to learn from each other).

We all see the world in a different light and this workshop aims to give you the confidence to seek out your own images, while learning hints and tips to improve your photography along the way.
