Repair & Upgrading Sash & Case Windows (For Homeowners)
The Union Street Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) training courses have been designed around the specific needs of traditional buildings in Aberdeen, addressing real issues and problems faced by building contractors, professionals and homeowners on a daily basis.
Led by Frew Conservation we have brought together a multi-disciplinary team of experienced and respected craftspeople and consultants to deliver this series of workshops and seminars.
The evening seminars are suitable for homeowners with little or no prior knowledge of the subject. All are welcome to attend.
This session covering 'Repair & Upgrading Sash & Case Windows' is delivered by experienced conservation joinery contractor and consultant Darren McLean and historic buildings consultant Craig Frew. Learn how to repair and upgrade sash and case windows on your traditional building, including some simple DIY tasks like freeing up windows which have been painted shut, draughtproofing, replacing glazing/putty and repainting. Bring along photos of your building or windows for free expert advice.
These courses are fully-funded through Union Street CARS. Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
