Happysad was founded in 2001 in Skarżysko-Kamienna. For years, they have been one of the most popular Polish bands, selling out tickets for their concerts. The band has over 1300 concerts throughout the country, 5 platinum and 3 gold records and attendance records in several popular clubs in Poland. In July 2004, the band’s debut album “Wszystko jedno” was released, and a year later “Podróże i pod prąd”. On September 1, 2007, during the third edition of the SKARfest festival organized by Happysad, the premiere of the band’s third album – “Nieprzygoda” took place. The premiere of this album was on the first place of OLIS – the list of best-selling albums in Poland. Today, “Wszystko jedno” and “Nieprzygoda” are platinum records. The concert DVD Happysad “Na żywo w STUDIO” gained the status of a gold record on the day of its premiere, November 24, 2008, and half a year later it became a platinum record. In October 2011, the jubilee release “Zadyszka” was released, summarizing ten years of the band’s activity, consisting of two albums. On the first disc 13 friend bands play songs from Happysad, and the second is a DVD with a concert of the band from Jarocin with the participation of birthday guests. Subsequent premiere albums of the band debuted at the top of OLIS and quickly covered with gold, and the album “Mów mi dobrze” released in 2009 and the 2012 album “Ciepło/zimno” gained platinum status.

In 2013, another DVD and 2CD was released documenting the band’s performance at Przystanek Woodstock in 2012 and – as the winner of the Golden Topping Out – in 2013. In 2014, he recorded the album “Jakby nie było jutra”, which in October 2014 debuted at No. 1 OLIS, met with very good reviews and within a month gained the status of a gold record. The next album of the band “Ciało obce” comes from February 2017, and the album is accompanied by 11 music videos made by the SKY Piastowskie team, which within a year of the premiere gathered over 10 million views, and the album has the status of a gold record. The eighth album of Happysad is entitled ” Rekordowo Letnie Lato “, was released on November 29, 2019, and during its creation the band cooperated with five producers (Leszek Kamiński, Jacek Miłaszewski, Paweł Cieślak, Marcin Bors, Bogdan Kondracki). The year 2020 brought another concert release (2CD / DVD) which is a recording of the concert at Pol’and’Rock Festival 2019. In 2021, the band celebrated its twentieth anniversary, which it celebrated with the occasional album “Odrzutowce i Kowery” and the biographical book “Zanim pójdę. Długa droga zespołu Happysad” by Żaneta Gotowalska.
