Aberdeen Inspired and local partners such as Shopmobility and Me Too! bring their skills together to produce a more accessible version of their tour of the city's street murals.

Aberdeen Inspired are delighted to be working with local partners including Shopmobility, North East Sensory Services and Me Too! to develop these special accessible events as part of our popular Nuart Aberdeen Walking Tour Series.

Nuart Aberdeen welcomes an international cast of highly acclaimed street artists to the city every April. Using our walls and streets as their canvas these talented street artists make their mark around the city centre producing works which range from super-sized murals to smaller hidden artworks.

These guided tours will aim to provide a shorter, more accessible route than our other weekly tours, moving at a slower pace and accompanied by British Sign Language signing.

The tour route will avoid stairs and, as far as possible, be accessible to both wheelchair users, and those who prefer a more level surface. However, due to the location of some of the key artworks, there will be some areas where the surface underfoot is more problematic and the tour will proceed slowly and carefully at these locations, allowing extra time. The tour will also be inclusive to those who may struggle in a more traditional tour environment, where constant listening and following a specific route is required.

Aberdeen Inspired are happy to discuss the adaptations undertaken beforehand or on the day of the tour. Please feel free to contact Angela Joss, Community and Environmental Coordinator at Aberdeen Inspired at angela.joss@aberdeeninspired.com or on 01224 566 291.

Tours depart from The Green and will last for no more than one hour. Events will run come rain or shine so we suggest clothing for all weathers! For advice on accessible parking close by please visit https://bluepark.org/ or Aberdeen City Council.

Please be aware those attending our walking tour are responsible for their own safety during the tour. Roads will not be closed on the tour route and cars/other pedestrians may need to pass. Please exercise due caution when crossing roads and use pedestrian crossings where possible. Attendees should be conscious of slip or trip hazards on the tour route.

All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children should remain beside parents/carers at all times.

If an event is marked as SOLD OUT it has reached maximum capacity for pre-bookings. In this case, we recommend you pre-book to attend on an alternative tour date/time in order to have the best quality experience.
