Come and enjoy a Valentine’s ‘date night’ with a difference at the Tivoli Theatre.
TV comedy legend Roy Walker and Aberdeen-based singer Nicola Dunbar will be joining forces for an evening filled with light-hearted laughs and love songs.
Robert ‘Roy’ Walker is a television personality from Northern Ireland who is best known as the original host of TV gameshow Catchphrase in the 80s and 90s, and as one of the stars of the comedy showcase The Comedians.
Still performing throughout the world, he will be sharing anecdotes from his illustrious career and joining in with some great love songs performed by Aberdeen-based singer Nicola, who he worked with in Tenerife.
Roy and Nicola will be joined by popular musical combo Jim Taylor and Martha Murray, who are Aberdeenshire music circuit favourites.
Nostalgia and romance go hand in hand and the show is packed with songs to bring back memories from years gone by including the Cole Porter Songbook (Ella Fitzgerald), Something Tells Me (Cilla Black), It’s Getting Better (Mama Cass), Bobby’s Girl (Marcie Blane), I Only Wanna Be With You (Dusty Springfield), Walk On By, Do You Know The Way To San Jose, Always Something There To Remind Me (Dione Warwick), Somethin’ Stupid (Frank Sinatra) and songs from romcom movies.
