Local Legends: Folklore, Culture & You
Exploration of Scotland's folklore stories.
As part of the ESRC Festival of Social Sciences the event will celebrate folklore stories in the North-East of Scotland, and explore the role of these stories in our contemporary world. Join us to share your stories, learn about the stories of others and re-imagine stories in a contemporary way.
The event will feature an exhibition of stories we have collected from the North-East and sound bites from academics discussing the role of stories from a social science perspective.
Come along to learn about how these stories link to our society, culture, heritage and the way that we think about and interpret the world. Families are welcome and there will be a creative storytelling activity for children (and adults) to participate in.
