Lisa Milne
We welcome the internationally-acclaimed Scottish soprano Lisa Milne to St. Margarets Braemar. One can expect to be enthralled with the performance which will be a mixture of both classical and Scottish traditional gems.The Scottish soprano Lisa Milne studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She was awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours in 2005. She was also awarded honorary doctorates by the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordons University. A renowned recitalist, she has appeared on stages all over the world playing various roles from a wide range of operas. Highlights of her illustrious career have included appearances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic and the New York and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras. She has also recorded extensively and appeared as the Governess in the award-winning BBC film Turn of the Screw.
