In Conversation: Literary Connections Through Visual Practice
Artists respond to other artists. When making work leading visual artist John Newling has created work in response to, and with, T.S Elliot’s The Wasteland, whilst for artist Nicola Chambury writer George Elliot is a constant presence. The title of Nicola’s current exhibition ‘Holding Ground’ is a reference to how George Elliot articulated her ideas. Join us as we explore two literary figures and the artists inspired by them.
