Highland Cup Carving with Wooden Tom
Glen Dye Cabins & Cottages
Bridge of Dye,
Join us for an immersive, hands-on workshop alongside wood carving maestro Wooden Tom.
Guests will be given the tools, and gentle instruction on how to use them, to create their very own Kuksa cup to take home with them.
Learn something new and make something wonderful with your own hands.
Known as a Kuksa cup by the reindeer herders of Northern Scandinavia, you will be taught how to use the axe, gouge and knife to carve your own.
Wooden Tom has been making Kuksa cups for over 10 years after learning these forgotten skills in Norway.
Once finished, your Kuksa can be used like any other cup for tea/coffee/gin. Perfect for the outdoor lover these are robust and made from sustainable Scottish hardwood.
You won’t want to drink out of anything else again.
These classes will be small, with full access to your friendly instructor.
Tickets include a simple and delicious lunch.
