Antiques Special: An Audience With Paul Martin
Paul Martin presented the BBC's hugely popular antiques programme Flog It! for over 15 years; notching up more than 1000 episodes. His new programme Make Me a Dealer is now on air.Now the Aboyne and Deeside Festival audience can join Paul as he talks about his love of antiques and the items in his own collection. Audience members are invited to bring objects to the theatre at 6pm and Paul will choose some examples to discuss on stage. He was discovered when he was interviewed about his love of wood and antiques by a team from BBC Bristol. The team was so impressed by his natural confidence in front of the camera that he was signed up immediately to present the BBC daytime antiques show. Before antiques took over his life Paul enjoyed a career as a professional drummer and in the early 90s played in rock bands like the Average White Band, `The Quire Boys and the Dogs DAmour. He still loves to play in local jazz and blues bands.Presented in association with Clive Conway Productions Ltd
