It’s frightening how fast 2025 is flying by, as it’s the spooky time of year already with Halloween just a few days away! There is an array of spooktacular events taking place in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire including family friendly fun and adults only mischief!

Pick your own pumpkin with Westerton Farmers

The most iconic symbol of Halloween is of course a pumpkin! At Westerton Farmers in Laurencekirk, you and the family can come pick your own perfect pumpkin ready to be carved and displayed on the 31st.

Westerton Farmers are also hosting a Harvest Market over Halloween weekend – expect hot food and drink, local produce, farmyard friends, gifts and more from a variety of stallholders!

Enjoy an Aberdeen Halloween Ghost Walk – if you dare

Get to know the city’s ghosts and unexplained phenomena in a guided tour that starts at Aberdeen Maritime Museum and finishes at the War Memorial on Schoolhill. You’ll learn all about the dark side of Aberdeen’s history, featuring a time-travelling ghoul and a ghost known as ‘The White Lady’, who lurks the grounds of the Kirk of St Nicholas.

The tour contains humour targeted at adults, but children aged 12 and over are welcome.

Bongos Bingo: Carnevil

Step right up to the most twisted circus in town - Carnevil! Bongo’s Bingo transforms P&J Live into a chaotic carnival of creepy clowns, confetti storms, and freaky prizes. Expect all the usual bingo antics with a terrifying twist. Costumes are highly encouraged - think killer clowns, ringmasters, or your scariest ex. Don’t miss out on the madness; tickets are flying fast!

Pitmedden Gardens Halloween Trail

Wander through the enchanting walled gardens of Pitmedden this Halloween, where a family-friendly trail awaits. Collect your trick-or-treat bag at the entrance and embark on a ghostly adventure, spotting spooky surprises along the way. Perfect for little ghouls and goblins, this event offers a delightful mix of fun and frights in a stunning setting. After the trail, warm up with a hot drink and enjoy the charming surroundings.
