My weekly events round-up, 10-16 October 2017

It’s another vibrant week of dance, comedy, music and foodie events! Here’s my top five events and festivals to check out in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire this week:

DanceLive

Scotland’s most prolific and long running contemporary dance festival is back! DanceLive will embrace a broad programme of live dance and performance events that celebrate creativity, diversity and experimentation within the framework of a dynamic programme of movement, dance and visual performance.

Date: 12-28 October. Location: Various, Aberdeen

Aberdeen Comedy Festival

55 events. 11 days. 27 venues. Get ready to laugh out loud when Aberdeen Comedy Festival returns to the city from 5-15 October 2017! The programme has landed with a range of multi-bill shows, solos, improvisation comedy, kids events, films and even workshops! 

Date: 5-15 October. Location: Various, Aberdeen

Mother of GINvention

This is a gin infusion event… this is one for the gin lovers out there! You can either take part in the event infusing your own gins (there are four different categories) or you can head along to the event as a visitor!

Date: 14 October 2017. Time: 12-2.30pm. Location: Castle Fraser, Aberdeenshire

Emeli Sande

Aberderdonian, Emeli Sandé will be embarking on a UK and Ireland Arena tour in October 2017 which will kick off on home turf on the stage of the GE Oil & Gas Arena this weekend!

Date: 14 October 2017. Time: 6.30-10.30pm. Location: AECC, Aberdeen

Vintage Fair at Banff Castle

Explore and treat yourself to antique jewellery, vintage fashion and handbags, paintings, books and upcycled furniture at this unique autumn vintage fair!

Date: 15 October 2017. Time: 10am-4pm. Location: Banff Castle, Aberdeenshire
