Wherever you are in the North-east, you’ll never be far away from a wonderfully festive event sure to get you and the family into the spirit of Christmas! Here is just a selection of the fun-filled events happening around Aberdeenshire.

Ardo Christmas Trees Pop Up Shop [13 November – 19 December]

Are you a fan of authentic Christmas trees? Then Ardo Christmas Trees is the place to be! Their Nordmann Ardo trees are locally grown in Aberdeenshire for three to eight years to ensure the best quality. Whilst you’re picking the perfect tree, you can also pay a visit to the Grotto and Chalet Shop.

Taste of Winter at Barra Castle, Inverurie [20 November - 21 November]

Over 30 wonderful food and drink suppliers from across the North-east are coming together at Barra Castle so you can grab everything you may need for the Christmas table. As well as delicious food, you can partake in a wreath making workshop, whilst listening to local musicians, singing groups, and choirs throughout the day. 

Fyvie Castle Christmas Festival [26 November – 28 November]

Fyvie Castle is stoked in over 800-years of history, and is the perfect place to lose yourself this Christmas. Over three days, this landmark will be transformed into a festive treat for all ages as it overflows with the finest array of arts and crafts, and delicious food.

Auchenblae Christmas Market [27 November – 28 November]

There is no shortage of excellent Christmas markets in the Shire, and Auchenblae is one of them! As well as over 20 local stall holders, the one and only SANTA will be making an appearance in his very own grotto.

Ballater Winter Festival [27 November]

Fun for all the family is to be had at the Ballater Winter Festival, where there’ll be a beautiful vintage carousel, farmers market, hot food venders, film night, and so much more! Funnily enough Santa will also be visiting Ballater as well as Auchenblae – who knows how he can be in two places at once, must be magic.

Garioch Heritage Centre Christmas Fair [27 – 28 November]

This is the place to be to grab those last-minute Christmas gifts! Expect a wide range of arts and crafts, food and drink, and more.

Delgatie Castle Victorian Christmas [27 November – 11 December]

After some discussions with Santa, he is able to attend the Christmas celebrations at Delgatie Castle as well as Auchenblae and Ballater all on the same day. The entire castle will be open for festivities including craft stalls, light lunches, and more.

Christmas Fayre in Westhill [28 November]

Local traders and craftspeople will be at Ashdale Hall, Westhill, with a range of crafts, gifts, presents and food! Why not head to Westhill and get some Christmas shopping done for your loved ones?

Christmas at the Castle [9 December – 24 December]

Get the complete fairytale experience when you visit the 16th-century landmark Crathes Castle, which is all dressed up for the Christmas period with market stalls, festive lighting trail, and more.
