The One Fine Day Music Festival

The excellent saxophonist Simon Haram, who played from the tower at St. Margaret’s in 2017, will return by popular demand. The award-winning Sacconi Quartet will also feature in the programme along with an 8-piece bassoon ensemble, the Aberdeenshire-based FagottOctet. All these acclaimed musicians will be joined by local string players for some unique performances of new work.

As well as co-curating the programme, Scottish harpist Ruth Wall will join the performers onstage. Wall performs on various harps including the buzzing Renaissance bray harp and Gaelic wire strung harp. She also performs as a soloist and in bands including FitkinWall, Goldfrapp, Kathryn Tickell, Will Gregory Moog Ensemble, Sacconi Quartet and Kneehigh Theatre and tours worldwide.

A day ticket includes both the lunchtime concert at 2:00-3:00 pm and evening concert at 7:30-9:30 pm, a pass to visit Braemar Castle and the option of booking a pre-concert early evening supper at the Gathering Place Bistro (early booking is advised).
