The Laughter Lounge at the Hook and Eye Bar

The first event features Scott Forbes, the Mad Dog of Montrose who has “a rapid-fire, natural delivery that reminds me of young Billy Connolly.” (Evening Express). In the early years he found success in several national comedy competitions. Today, Scott runs his own gig in Montrose and MC’s and headlines gigs throughout the Grampian region.

Scott will be supported by Aberdonian Neil Sken who is a highly skilled and much sought after after-dinner speaker. Neil brings a unique perspective to the world and to the stage by being the UK’s only blind comedian. He performs regularly throughout the region and was a Scottish Comedian of the Year Semi-finalist. See www.neilskene.co.uk who is the UK's only blind comedian,

Also supporting Scott is Marc Christie an absurd storyteller who has warmed the hearts of comedy audiences all over Scotland. “Waaay alternative.” (Tom Stade) Marc runs two monthly comedy shows in Aberdeen City Centre both of which are regularly packed to the rafters.

The night will be hosted by Aberdonian Wendy Jane Ivers who's a gifted and thought-provoking conversationalist. Wendy brings audiences on a joyride into her current state of mind and tailors her material to each audience. Wendy was responsible for the sustainable development of comedy in Aberdeen. She has recently returned to the stage after a near nine year hiatus during which time she has drastically matured as both a person and a performer.
