Music@Midstocket June Concert

Hannah Renton (violin) is from Aberdeen and began learning the violin at the age of 7. She is now in the third year of her undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music in London where she studies with Jan Repko.

 

Jonathan Kightley (viola), originally from Derbyshire, teaches at Robert Gordon’s College and is a well-known locally performing with many orchestras and ensembles.

 

Blair Cargill (piano) was awarded an entrance scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and finished his studies on the Advanced Postgraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music gaining the LRAM piano teacher's diploma and the Jackson prize for all-round excellence in piano playing. He teaches piano in Aberdeenshire.

 

Their performance will raise funds for Aberdeen Counselling and Information Service (ACIS)

JS Bach - Sonata in G minor for viola da gamba and harpsichord, BWV 1029

Krzysztof Penderecki - Cadenza for solo viola

WA Mozart - Duo for violin and viola no 1 in G major, K423

Beethoven Sonata no 4 in A minor for violin and piano, op.23

Korngold - Concerto in D major for violin, op. 35
