Johnshaven Fish Festival

This annual event now in its 21st year, is a great way to spend a summers day. You can browse the various stalls selling fresh local produce, jewellery and crafts. Sample the huge variety of food on offer. Enjoy listening to local musicians performing live on stage. The local pipe band entertain the crowds at regular intervals. Explore the harbour area not forgetting to look at the vessels on display in the water. Pop into the recently refurbished Lifeboat Shed or the local lobster merchant. Younger ones are also taken care of with entertainment in their own dedicated area. Don't miss the highlight of the day, the annual Raft Race, remember to cheer on your favourite and give them your support.
