Herbal Workshop - Plants of the Apiaceae/carrot family and their uses
This year's theme of the Herbal Workshop at Pitmedden Garden is the Apiaceae/carrot family.
Come along and learn the plants in this interesting family from the poisons to the edibles and the medinicines. Hemlock, hogweed, fennel to name a few.
A fun day that will be split into two halves with a herb themed lunch made by Pitmedden Garden's kitchen in between. One half will be indoors with demonstrations, tastings and discussions and the other half in our wonderful Herb Garden and in the woods surrounding the Walled Garden, identifying the plants and discussing what we find.
