Young Company 2: Physical Theatre
Learn how to tell stories with the body rather than words. In this practical workshop with experienced and industry active Surge practitioners you will explore physical techniques to train the body to creatively express emotion without the use of verbal language. The workshop will focus on individual and ensemble movement, group storytelling, feeling through the body and establishing atmosphere. Breaking body habits enables the performer to make stronger, braver choices and to be more precise and connected in their work. These techniques will be used towards devising and composing narrative through physicality.
