Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran was open in 1995, a relative Scotch newcomer by comparison with some many distilleries which were founded in the 18th and 19th centuries. Released under the 'Arran Whisky' brand, the distillery has been putting out some incredible releases in recent years, including an Amarone finish and some unique festival bottlings.
Lochranza's heavily-peated sibling Lagg Distillery broke ground in 2017, opening it's doors two years later. We're very lucky to have them hosting this whisky tasting for us.
Sampling consists of five drams per person of both Arran and Lagg whiskies. Hosted by Isle of Arran Distillers.
