Twice-Born
Two thrilling works from two of today’s most exciting dance-makers.
Dickson Mbi (UK) is an award-winning choreographer and world-renowned dancer in the Hip Hop dance community, whose collaborators include Robbie Williams, Black Eyed Peas, CHVRCHES and Russell Maliphant. His acclaimed popping skills are integral to the work that he creates today. He was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Dance at the 2023 Olivier Awards for his recent work Enowate. Scottish Ballet will premiere Twice-Born, Dickson’s first commission for the company.
Schachmatt (Checkmate) by Spanish choreographer Cayetano Soto had audiences on their feet at its world premiere. The quirky equestrian-themed ballet sees dancers moving across a giant chessboard.
