Organised by The Africulture Network, in partnership with International School Aberdeen (ISA), The Spirit of Africa will be the first of its kind in Aberdeen. Hosted and sponsored by ISA, the event will take guests on a journey through the rich history and culture of the African continent featuring a vibrant evening of performances to mark the socio-historical connection between Africa and Scotland. The event is the launchpad for The Africulture Network – a group of passionate professionals dedicated to showcasing African heritage at its best in Scotland. Experience Africa in a unique way and enjoy a jam-packed evening of vibrant entertainment and first-class hospitality. The evenings entertainment will feature, The Aberdeen African Choir, Shona Choir, Talking Drummer, African Fashion show, African/Scottish fusion cuisine and an exclusive performance by the award-winning reggae, jazz performer, Yolanda Brown OBE. And many more… Proceeds from the evening will go towards purchasing books by African authors for local schools.
