Alternative rock ensemble from Winsford, Cheshire.

The Luka State play rock'n'roll like their lives depend on it. Which is appropriate as there's not much else that can get them a ticket out of their hometown Winsford in Cheshire.

The town's main job provider is the local salt mine, and the boys in the band have CV's that include working in a Pritt Stick factory, making candles, part-time acting, and for lead singer Conrad, working in a Unit for 'Problem Children', the latter a place where Conrad nearly found himself as a youth.

The band are a people's band - they live for their fans and for the music - they've pitched up and played in their fans' flats, houses, and student digs in towns and cities throughout Europe - the last run taking in Paris, Hull, Bognor and Quiverain (Belgium). They even played a private show for the homeless at a squat on the outskirts of Amsterdam.
