A touring exhibition from the Equality Council UK.
The Equality Council UK presents an inspiring and informative exhibition surrounding LGBTQ+ rights and racial equality.
The exhibition features a timeline of LGBTQ+ rights; (homosexuality was illegal in Scotland until as recently as 1980) and celebrates those who have worked, and are still working to ensure full equal rights are achieved.
On racial equality, the massive social changes that occurred in the 60s, 70s and 80s are showcased. The perceptions and treatment of racial diversity in the media are examined, and although there is still work to be done, it is encouraging to see just how much progress has been made.
