Kris Dollimore is the guitar player with Scottish rock icons, Del Amitri, but he’s also one of Britain’s leading acoustic blues singers and guitarists, with a fabulous knowledge and deep respect for all the country blues traditions. Joyously celebrating the trials, tribulations and fortunes of the best female singers of the blues genre, Queens Of The Blues tells the story of Mamie Smith and Big Mama Thornton; Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi; by way of Sugar Pie and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. This show is an irrepressible, anecdotal anthology, fronted by the acclaimed newcomer, singer, Nicole Smit. Gerry Jablonski Band wrap things up, playing crowd-pleasing high-octane blues roots with influences of classic rock, with one of the tightest and hardest hitting bands on the current scene. "
