Taigh is an immersive, intimate and fun weekend of folk and alternative music, food and the Highlands. Taigh is an escape for explorers, enthusiasts, families and friends. Listen to great music, have fun, learn new skills, eat great food and immerse yourself in nature. Taigh? Sounds interesting. What does it mean? The word Taigh pronounced ‘t-o-y’ perfectly describes the special feeling you get when you visit Glen Dye. At its simplest, it means ‘at home’ in Scottish Gaelic but investigate a little further and you’ll learn that it actually describes a feeling of cosy contentment and well-being achieved through being at home and taking time to enjoy the simple things in life. Some of the key ingredients of feeling at home are belonging, relaxation, indulgence, and comfort and so we’ve created an event encompassing all of this (and more), in one of the most spectacular locations there is. We’ve worked hard to make this special place as comfortable as home and you are always welcome here. Connect without distraction, enjoy live music and great food and drink, indulge, relax and escape surrounded by beautiful Scottish landscape You can come for the weekend or just for the day. Bring your own tent or campervan, or stay in one of our 11 luxury holiday cabins and cottages for maximum comfort. Whether you’re coming with a group or on your own, we’re sure you’ll love it and we can’t wait to welcome you here in May, which is a special time of year in the Glen. World Class Music Our friends from Roman Candle Promotions have curated a world-class lineup of music. There will be performances from both well-established musicians and breakthrough acts across the weekend. Feasts and Food Demos Alongside the music, there will also be a feast by the Ethicurean in the Glen Dye Woodshed and food demos by Xanthe Gladstone and Adam Williams next to the River Dye. Enjoy amazing food in truly spectacular locations. Wellness in the Wilderness There will be guided walks and river swimming. Pip and Stu Wright will lead highland bushcraft workshops. There will be yoga with Naomi Macintosh, massage from Catriona and much more. Day tickets include all performances, food demos, river swimming, sauna sessions, yoga, bushcraft sessions and guided walks.
