Sister Sledge
The siblings from Philadelphia perform their classic R&B and disco material.
Sister Sledge are one of the most iconic female groups of all time. They formed in 1971 but became a global success in 1979 with the release of We Are Family, an album produced by Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards, that propelled them to become a global household name.
An array of hits followed, such as He’s the Greatest Dancer, Lost in Music, Thinking of You, and Frankie, which stayed at the top of the UK charts for four weeks in 1985. They have performed at the Ali-Foreman “Rumble in the Jungle” boxing match, The White House, Glastonbury festival and for Pope Francis in their home town Philadelphia in 2015.
