RSNO: Beethoven Revolution: Piano Concerto No4
Not every revolution is noisy. Wagner’s *Siegfried Idyll* is a tender cradle-song, written as a gift to the love of his life. Beethoven never wrote anything more poetic than his Fourth Piano Concerto, just as he never wrote a sunnier – or funnier – symphony than his Fourth. World-renowned Scottish pianist Steven Osborne returns on the piano, and the RSNO’s leader Sharon Roffman directs the whole concert from the violin, just as they would have done in Beethoven’s day.
