Monet's Seascape Masterpiece
Monet’s ‘Seascape’ goes on display at Duff House. From October through to March 2020, visitors will be able to see the Impressionist masterpiece on display in the Marble Lobby.
This is an early work by Monet, painted with an unusual combination of palette knife and brush. He commented later on his admiration for moonlight scenes but also on the difficulties involved in painting nature at night.
