Making History. . . Murderous
Ambrose Parry (aka Chris Brookmyre and Dr Marisa Haetzman) returns to 1850’s Edinburgh for another riveting medical mystery. This time, Will Raven and Sarah Fisher fight to save the reputation of Dr James Simpson after one of his patients dies in mysterious circumstances. They’ll be talking historical crime fiction, gothic fiction, and medical mysteries with author Laura Purcell, whose first novel The Silent Companions, won the WHSmith Thumping Good Read Award 2018. Her new book, Bone China, is a spooky tale in the tradition of DuMaurier, set in atmospheric Cornwall.
